Here are a few highlights:
Angel Horses offers good times to our visitors! A buggy ride courtesy of Yoda and Jonnie, kids at
a birthday party getting to ride Sunny, night time around a campfire, fun at a fundraiser, pitching
horseshoes or a picnic, it’s good, old fashioned fun!
Angel Horses hosted the ‘Ultimate Sip and Paint’ fundraiser in June. The event featured internationally
renowned artist Kevin Red Star and Emmy Award winning costume designer, Cathy Smith. Folks joined
in to paint a couple of Angel Horses teepees alongside Kevin and Cathy. Painting was followed by a
buffalo chuck wagon bar-b-q dinner, fellowship and music. Proceeds allow us to serve kids, adults, care
for the horses and maintain the facility.
Thanks to a grant we received from the Johnson Foundation of the Rockies, a donation from Yellowstone
Valley Electric Cooperative and the generosity of Knife River for discounting the materials and labor, we
now have a parking lot instead of a mud pit! Many hours went into the prep and finishing of this parking
area. There are many folks to thank for helping to maintain this program, making improvements to and
upkeep of the property, including our Board Members, volunteers and donors.
It truly does take a village!
Our many volunteers and donors have helped transform our facility and grounds to a unique and cozy
place! We offer an affordable venue for weddings, receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, picnics or
any function you can imagine! The Little White Chapel is inviting for prayer gatherings, meditation or
weddings. The grounds offer a gazebo with benches, a cabin that has kitchen facilities, teepees for an
overnight, back in time experience, a live fire pit, a gas fire pit, benches and seating, horseshoes and
outdoor games. The arena can be transformed to host wedding receptions, concerts and gatherings.
Rocky Mountain College recently rented it to host a welcome back party for students for the
2021 school year! We invite you to consider our facility for your events!
