Watch a Sneak Peek of JONNIE, a Montana PBS Documentary.
A world champion. A rodeo pioneer. A story worth telling.
Watch a sneak peek of JONNIE, the Montana PBS documentary about world champion bull rider and Angel Horses founder Jonnie Jonckowski. The film explores her remarkable journey in a sport where she challenged expectations and helped open doors for women.
The documentary features interviews with rodeo legend Ty Murray, whose own career includes nine Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) world championships: seven all-around titles earned from 1989 through 1994 and in 1998, plus two bull riding titles in 1993 and 1998. Murray also helped shape the future of the sport as a co-founder of Professional Bull Riders (PBR).
Jonnieโs career took courage, determination, and a willingness to keep going when the obstacles seemed overwhelming. Her two world bull riding championships were part of a larger legacyโone that continues to inspire through her story and her work at Angel Horses.
Weโre proud to share this glimpse into the life of the woman so many of us know and love.
